About North High School

Sioux City North is the largest 1:1 school (every students gets a computer) in the State of Iowa. An enrollment of almost 1,460 students includes students from 14 different countries, 15 different Native American Tribes, and almost 60% of our students are students of color. We take pride in our diversity as well as our success. SCN is in the Top 50 Schools in the State of Iowa for their Advanced Placement scores. In 2015, they had the most students receiving a score of 3 or higher in school history. Sioux City North is also leading a Positive Behavior Interventions and Support initiative that is unique to many high schools and began this process in 2013. It is also one of two schools in the state to house a Dual Language Spanish Immersion program in its high school.
